Creating Anniversary Traditions

Check out these ideas for some inspiration for creating your own anniversary traditions!

Look Through Old Memories

Look through your wedding album or old photos from throughout your relationship. Include momentos and videos, and talk about sweet memories. If you haven't already, start storing special memories now and remember to keep adding to them over the years to continue the tradition!

Re-Create the Honeymoon

Even if you can't actually re-create the honeymoon, you can re-create some parts of it! If you went to the Caribbean on your honeymoon, maybe you can take a trip to a local beach for your anniversary. Or maybe you toured a winery in Italy, so you tour a local winery. Maybe you had a special dish at an amazing restaurant, so you hire a personal chef to help you create the dish at home. Even if it's a small, sweet detail it will go a long way to create romance and

make a new memory.

Have a Special Dinner at a Special Place

Have dinner where you had your first date, or where you had dinner the night you proposed. Reflect on those special memories and how your love and relationship has grown since then.

Have a Photo Session

Having a photo session every year for your anniversary is a super sweet way to preserve every year of your marriage!

Write Love Letters

Writing love letters is a precious way to celebrate your anniversary. You can write a new one each year, and read back over the previous letters, too.

Try Something New

If you and your partner are more adventurous, celebrate your anniversary by trying something new! Go skydiving, take ballroom dancing lessons, take a cooking class...create new memories!

Stay in a Hotel

Whether you go away for the weekend or find somewhere local for a night, book a hotel room and make the most of your "getaway"! Pick a room with a jacuzzi, order room service, and don't forget the late check out!
